Artists Introduction

The Chinga Style has recently announced what is arguably going to be one of the biggest milestones of his ambitious career. This was within the decision to change his main stage name to “Newko”. The title is generated from the simple but crucial definition that highlights his bi-cultural background.

Our another guest, Sonny ‘DJ Fili’ Lee has been Auckland City’s most under-rated DJ. Fili has played alongside most of New Zealand and Australia's celebrity DJs such as, DJ Manchoo, DJ Sir-Vere, DJ 09 and many more. Subsequently this led to a 15 minute shot at fame at Globe bar. Although this 15 minute set was a short lived introduction into the limelight, it launched into a career thats now five years and counting.

At present, Sonny ‘DJ Fili’ Lee is consistently entertaining crowds that regularly stand in the thousands. Earlier this year he was the co-headlining DJ for the annual dance party, ‘Deja Vu’ held at the Studio on K-Road. By exploiting his talent in technical DJing, DJ Fili won the title of Auckland city’s “Up and Coming Party Rocker.”
